We discovered a large box of old family photos when we moved my grandpa into an assisted living facility. I had tried my hand at digitizing family pictures before, and it was extremely time consuming and the end product was lower quality. I was delighted when I found Heritage Photo Preservation! She has the right equipment for the job. I was very impressed with the high resolution scans she captured- far better than what I had been able to get with the scanner that came with my printer. She worked with me to ask how I wanted pages of photo albums to be scanned. The files were consistently labeled and she captured all the information that was hand written on the backs of many of the photos.
I'm so glad this project is being done while my grandpa is still alive to help me ID people in some of these pictures! There are so many that I had never seen before of my grandparents in their early lives. It has been fun to share the pictures with my cousins. It's really brought the extended family together!
